Have you taken a nap lately? Today’s post on Truth Rejoices: “Naptime” http://truthrejoices.com/
James 5:16-“…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”(NKJV)
Whether in the healing of bodies, hearts, or lives , surely prayers are powerful. Thank you for your prayers . I wanted to give a brief update for those who are praying for the preschool teacher and her precious children that I blogged about yesterday. This morning the teacher shared with me that the Lord laid on her heart some innovative ways to redirect the children’s anger. Not only was she encouraged, but she has already seen some results. One child in particular opened up to her about a source of his rage. As we continue to lift up these precious children and their families to the Lord, I believe that God will do some mighty things!
I am also praying for the teacher to have wisdom and discernment in handling the sensitive situations that arise.
Thank you again for your prayers and have a blessed day!
Mark 9:36-37-“Then He took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when He had taken him in His arms, He said to them, “Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.”
I was planning on writing about something else today until I received a call that touched my heart and shifted my thinking. A young teacher was asking for prayer for her inner city, extremely aggressive preschool students.
Although this teacher has many wonderful, creative ideas and has set rules and boundaries, she has often been unable to teach the students because she is constantly breaking up knock-down drag-out fights. Hearing her heart and the situation broke my heart to think of such precious little ones filled with so much rage that they can’t even participate in classroom activities.
What is even more heartbreaking is that, due to a previous complaint filed against this preschool chain by an atheist, this teacher can not tell her “little angels” as she affectionately calls them, about God’s love or their value in His eyes. And she is not even allowed to pray with them before meals.
I have agreed to stand with this precious teacher in prayer for her students and for their parents. Please keep them in your prayers as well.
Here are some prayer points that have come to mind.
That each child would come to realize that Jesus loves them.
For them have teachable spirits
For harmful or hurtful circumstances in their lives to be revealed
For the hearts of their parents
For their awareness that there is a plan and purpose for their lives
For generational curses to be broken
For the spirit of violence to be bound
That they would have a desire to obey
For the Lord to raise up volunteers to help in the classroom
If you feel led to hold up this teacher and her students please let me know. Also, it would be a blessing if you would be willing to share prayers or words of encouragement with her. You can either comment on this site or send communication to my e-mail email@example.com ,and I will forward them to her.
Thank you and God bless
